Capitalization Indicator
The Capitalization Indicator is a round button with a C on the Instant Text title bar.
It indicates whether automatic capitalization is on or off for the current client application focus window.
It is a client context sensitive indicator that gets refreshed every time you switch to a new window.
In the following situations automatic capitalization is out of scope and the Capitalization Indicator is not even displayed:
- you have disabled automatic capitalization under Automatic Capitalization Options,
- or you have configured the current client application not to use Instant Text,
- or the linking to the current client application is currently suspended.
Capitalization On
The
Capitalization Indicator
displays a green
when capitalization is
on
for the
current client focus window.
Capitalization Off
The
Capitalization Indicator
displays a red
when capitalization is
off
for the
current client focus window.
Toggle the Capitalization
While working inside a client application window, it is possible to toggle the capitalization on or off:
- by clicking on the Capitalization Indicator,
- with the Ctrl 9 Toggle Capitalization hotkey,
- or with an expansion using the Toggle Capitalization command.
Note that Instant Text remembers your most recently used Capitalization Preferences and applies them automatically each time it encounters the same type of window again.
