Spacing Indicator
The Spacing Indicator is a round button with an S on the Instant Text title bar.
It indicates whether automatic spacing is on or off for the current client application focus window.
It is a client context sensitive indicator that gets refreshed every time you switch to a new window.
In the following situations automatic spacing is out of scope and the Spacing Indicator is not even displayed:
- you have disabled automatic spacing under Automatic Spacing Options,
- or you have configured the current client application not to use Instant Text,
- or the linking to the current client application is currently suspended.
Spacing On
The
Spacing Indicator
displays a green
when spacing is
on
for the
current client focus window.
Spacing Off
The
Spacing Indicator
displays a red
when spacing is
off
for the
current client focus window.
Toggle the Spacing
While working inside a client application window, it is possible to toggle the spacing on or off:
- by clicking on the Spacing Indicator,
- with the Ctrl 0 Toggle Spacing hotkey,
- or with an expansion using the Toggle Spacing command.
Note that Instant Text remembers your most recently used Spacing Preferences, and applies them automatically each time it encounters the same type of window again.
