The Docking Indicator is a colored triangle light on the Instant Text title bar.
It indicates whether Instant Text docks to the current client application window.
It is a client context sensitive indicator that gets refreshed every time you switch to a new window.
If you have configured the current client application:
then docking is out of scope, it can't be toggled on or off, hence the Docking Indicator is not even displayed.
A triangle green light is displayed when Instant Text is
docked
to the
current client application window.
A triangle red light is displayed when Instant Text is not docked to the current client application window.
While working inside a client application window, it is possible to toggle the docking on or off, by pressing Ctrl /D (assuming you are using the Ctrl / Toggle Focus Hotkey).
You may also toggle the docking via an expansion, using the Toggle Docking command.
Note that Instant Text remembers your most recently used Docking Preferences and applies them automatically each time it encounters the same type of window again.
