Two issues. a) Alt + not working b) words with commas, when editing

1) When I hit Alt + to add to glossary, it opens up Equations in Word. Very weird.

2) When transcribing and have to remove a comma or period at the end of a sentence, it automatically deletes the last letter.

I've checked all my Word/Escription settings and Inscribe and cannot find the answer.
