Fitaly for the Pocket PC

The Fitaly keyboard for the Pocket PCs is an ergonomic replacement for the standard on-screen Qwerty keyboard. In addition, Fitaly offers a powerful shortcut expansion capability allowing thousand of entries.

Adding the letters ch and um brings this frequency to 84%. Remaining keys are never more than two keys away from the central area and each key is placed near the keys most likely to follow it in English text.

The effect is to minimize pen travel. In addition, the layout practically eliminates hand movement when typing text. This means that you can type with your hand rested on the lower area, moving only the fingers holding the pen.

Fitaly 3.5 provides even more speed with a new (patent-pending) sliding technique, and it provides full support to Unicode characters. This is described in the attached documentation:

Fitaly Installation

To install Fitaly for the Pocket PC:

1. From the Start button on your Desktop PC,
   select Run to open the Run dialog box
2. Click on Browse to find the file PocketFitaly35Setup.exe
3. Cick on OK and follow the instructions on your screen

The installation starts by installing the desktop components of Fitaly and then proceeds to the installation of the Fitaly keyboard on your Pocket PC.

Notes on Upgrading

If you are installing this version over a previous version of Fitaly, you must first uninstall the prior version. (See the next section.) This being done, you can now install Fitaly 3.5 by running PocketFitaly35Setup.exe on the desktop PC.

Un-Installing Fitaly

To uninstall Fitaly, perform the following steps on your Pocket PC:

• Set the Default Input Method
  If Fitaly is your current default input method, tap on the info key on Fitaly and go to the Other Options page of the Options. In the dropdown box, select the Qwerty keyboard as default input method.
• Reset the Pocket PC
  Perform a soft reset of the Pocket PC.
  (This step is necessary since Fitaly is a dll and Windows will not allow unloading of active dlls.)
• Remove Fitaly
  From the Start button, go to Settings/System/Remove Programs and remove the prior version of Fitaly

Demo version - Registered version

The attached software contains a fully functional time-limited demo version of the Fitaly keyboard for the Pocket PC. This demo version will stop functioning after ten (10) days if not registered. (You can also uninstall the software and reinstall it to get another ten-day evaluation period.)

On receipt of the registration payment, we will email or fax you a registration code to unlock the demo version. You can input the code by selecting Register from the info button of Fitaly. After registration, the software will become a registered version usable without any time limitation on the Pocket PC for which you have registered it.

When registering the software, be sure to include your Owner Name so that we can generate a personal registration code. Your Owner Name appears after "User:" in the Fitaly registration dialog. Alternatively, go to Settings/Owner Information and this is the name listed in the Name field, on the first line.
