Prime Glossary

The Prime Glossary is a special Words n' Phrases Glossary with the following characteristics:

1. It is automatically included in every words n' phrases glossary.
2. It is included before any other included words n' phrases glossary.

This means that the entries of the Prime Glossary are accessible everywhere. Moreover, they will be displayed before entries stemming from other included words n' phrases glossaries.

So the Prime Glossary is the ideal place where to put expansions that you want everywhere:

• common words and phrases,
• places,
• people,
• dates and times,
• launch commands,
• editing commands,
• other commands,
• etc.

The Prime Glossary has a fixed location and a reserved name: Glossary\#Prime.xglo

When viewing a glossary in the Glossary Viewer, you will see the Prime Glossary displayed at the top of the Includes Table. It is not displayed in the Edit Glossary Includes dialog because it can neither be unincluded nor repositioned: by design it is always there and at the top.

Viewing the Prime Glossary

You can view and edit the Prime Glossary in the Glossary Viewer using the View Prime Glossary menu item of the Glossary Menu.

Deactivating the Prime Glossary

You can deactivate the Prime Glossary, and thereby uninclude it from all glossaries by using the Deactivate Prime Glossary menu item of the Glossary Menu.
