Merge Glossaries

The Glossary Viewer enables you to merge the currently viewed glossary with other glossaries via the Tools menu. Merging Glossaries consists in combining the glossary entries of several glossaries into one glossary.

The order of merged glossaries matters for Phrase Entries with the same short form. For a given short form, the glossary entries of the first glossary will be positioned before those of the second, and so on.

Duplicate entries are discarded.

Note that when it comes to combining glossaries, using glossary includes is the preferred way: merging glossaries cannot be undone, while it is easy to uninclude an included glossary.
