AltaScribe and IT

I just started a new job and am having trouble with IT staying active. The platform is pretty nonintrusive and is not voice recognition. It uses Express Scribe and Word (2019). IT stops working in the middle of me typing and I have to click in the Word document to get it to work again. I have updated Word, turned off Word's autocorrect, minimized AltaScribe, used Word in full window size and restored window size (not covering the entire screen). I don't know what else to do. Sometimes, I make it through an entire job without IT messing up, but most often I don't. I don't know what else to try.
