Hi Marianne,
I'm so glad you posted about Instant Text. A couple of years back, when I changed from my Windows 95 to Windows 98 computer, the only expander I found available in a DOS-based application was ShortCut. I just got off the phone with a very nice man at Instant Text and, yes, they do now offer it in DOS (just in the past month, he informed me). I think it's wonderful that companies are still advancing the DOS technology for those of us who love Word Perfect in that operation base. For those that are interested in Instant Text for DOS, you must advise the company that you will want both the CD for Windows and the additional "upgrade" (not really sure what it is, a CD or disk?) to use the program in DOS. It looks and sounds like a wonderful program. Maybe one day in the future I'll tire of Short Cut and make another switch. Oh, another thing, the gentleman at Instant Text said the number of expanders you can add is virtually limitless, which I don't think it is in Short Cut. Anyway, thanks again for posting this info. I love to learn of new programs that have the possibility to make my life easier :)
Bonnie
P.S. I'm new to this forum. I thought it was for DOS-based WP. Please forgive me that I've posted about WP for DOS. In reading past posts, I've learned it is for Windows.
