Can't block text when making macro WP9

I'm trying to make a macro (I have similar one in Word, works great) that turns on blocking F8, then using search feature searches for certain word (usually a heading) and goes to it (selecting all text inbetween), then deletes block. For some reason in WP9 (I just started using this) it won't highlight or actually select the text when I use the search feature. Is there another way to do this.
