"flash forward"/macros

I am starting with a transcription service where I have to use my own computer. I have Microsoft Office Word 2007. There is no "Tool" option for AutoCorrect.

What can I do for my expansion of words?

There IS a macros option but the directions are confusing to me and I have not figured out how to run that. Have you ever worked with MS Office Word 2007 macros?
