Merge vs Include

The Include feature allows you to combine glossaries and makes updating certain glossaries used in different combinations easy. You can have, for instance, a glossary for each doctor, have your general glossary and the Drugs glossary included in each of these doctors' glossaries. When you update your general glossary or the Drugs glossary, you only need to do it once.

Another avantage is that these glossaries stay separate entities and at any time you can change the combination, i.e. take out the included glossary you don't want anymore.

When you merge two or more glossaries, you create one new glossary which has all the entries now in one glossary file.

The effect in the advisories is the same. You will see all entries come up whether you have the glossary included or whether you merged the compiled glossary with the base glossary.
