Version 8.60

We are very happy to introduce Instant Text version 8.60. It includes a range of enhancements and bug fixes that will significantly enhance your user experience and ensure smooth operation.

The installation process is quick and straightforward:

1. You download the latest installer. The URL is always the same:
   https://textware.com/it8pro/IT8Pro_setup.exe
2. You run it and answer Yes or OK to all questions.

It takes very little time. Your settings and glossaries stay unchanged.
The installer just updates the IT8Pro exe.

Using Instant Text in the Add and Edit Glossary Entry Dialogs

If you want to be able to expand in the Add Glossary Entry window too, it is now possible!

All you need to do is:

1. Press Alt = to open the Add Glossary Entry window.
2. Open the Client Configurator and check Use Instant text with this client application.
3. Close the Client Configurator by clicking the OK button.

Add and Edit Glossary Entry Dialog Context Menu Enhancements

New menu items besides Cut, Copy, Paste and Select All were introduced in the context menu.

They are only displayed under certain circumstances, when a command with parameters is selected.

Commands with parameters have an opening and a closing tag with parameters in between:

The easiest way to select a command with parameters is to click on its opening or closing tag.

Case 1

You have selected a command with parameters that has an associated GUI in the Command Menu.

A right-click opens the context menu with an Edit Command menu item that enables you to popup the GUI that produced the command:

You have selected a Pick Command.

A right-click opens the context menu with a View Pick menu item that enables you to view the corresponding Pick List in the Glossary Viewer:

You have selected a Snippet Command.

A right-click opens the context menu with a View Snippet menu item that enables you to view the corresponding Snippet in the Glossary Viewer:

Glossary Compilation Settings

Enrich from Clipboard and Enrich from Documents are powerful ways to enrich your glossaries with content you have written yourself, copied from the web or any document you have access to that uses the jargon you are looking for.

We have added a new line to the Glossary Compilation Settings table where you can specify which characters you want to allow inside a word:
