First of all, welcome to Instant Text!

As Karen mentioned I am not sure which key combination you press to Pause/Play, but a brief glance at the FTW Transcriber web site indicates that you can remap your hotkeys there too. If you remap the Pause hotkey in FTW Transcriber to a function key for example, then Instant Text will not reset the Typing Context.

By the way, this is good opportunity for me to show you two interesting Directives. that can be used to produce a side effect on the Typing Context when pressing a hotkey:

By default function keys do not reset the Typing Context.

But if, for example, you want F12 to reset the Typing Context, then you can do so by defining it as follows in the Instant Text Hotkey Glossary:

Hotkey Expansion

F12

{F12}{ResetTypingContext}{NoSpacing}

By default, hotkeys using the Ctrl key reset the Typing Context.

But if, for example, you want Ctrl E to leave the Typing Context unchanged, then you can do so by defining it as follows in the Instant Text Hotkey Glossary:

Hotkey Expansion

Ctrl E

{Ctrl E}{DeclareTypingContextUnchanged}{NoSpacing}
